Comox on 19 June 2010 during cross wind landing as part of glider
operations. Accident
report indicates pilot applied excessive braking on landing roll out to
prevent ground loop, and inadvertently released back pressure on the
stick at the same time. Reported
as damaged beyond economic repair, although photos show relatively
minor damage to prop and tail fin.
Remains sold to G. Reynolds of Sechelt, BC, under
restoration in late 2010. |
