1916-12-11: accepted as Observer 1917-02-23: 2nd-Lieutenant, RFC 1917-03-06: Fraser was wounded in Morane Parasol, A-268; when brought down in aerial combat near Ligny on artillery observation. His pilot, Lt Cuthbert William Short, (British) Died of Wounds. Fraser recovered.
