1916-08-02: Eyre was OK in a crash on a survey flight of a repaired Nieuport scout, 3891; at Furnes Aerodrome. 1917-03-23: Eyre was OK in Triplane, N-5432; when it tipped on its nose in a forced landing in a field near 14 Wing aerodrome due to engine failure on a local flight. 1917-07-07: Eyre was a six victory Ace by his death on July 7, when he was missing in Triplane, N-6291; lost over enemy lines. Flt.Cdr. Eyre had just been promoted to FC that day. He was later accepted as dead.
