San Antonio Texas USA, AM-412 1916-05-22: to be 2nd-Lieutenant, 1916-06-22: wounded, hit by AA fire on patrol to Souchez. 1917-09-15: relinquishes his commission. on joining the American Aviation Service and is granted the honorary rank of Captain.
