"A" Able flying through the Eiffel Tower? (although this event likely happened, this photograph is likely fake.) It is signed by the late Bill Bryant RAF who was the navigator of that aircraft piloted by Bob Boorman RCAF. The caption reads "This Stars Stripes photograph was taken on 14 September 1944 and shows a Mosquito Mk XIII of 409 Squadron RCAF. Pilot - W/O Bob Boorman RCAF Navigator F/S Bill Bryant RAF Flying through the Eiffel Tower."

Service Numbers

Francis, 5th Earl Annesley was killed in action on 1914-11-05 when the aircraft in which he was a passenger on a flight to join the War in France was lost to the sea somewhere between there and Ostend, on the coast of Belgium, where he was bound. Annesley and the pilot in all likelihood drowned, but in any event, their bodies were not recovered. He is remembered on the Chathan Naval Memorial at Chatham Dockyard in London, England.
