1918-10-29: Arnott did not return from a bombing raid on this date. It is probable that he was the victim of one of the members of von Richthofen's squadron. Both he and his gunner Lt. Benjamin Johnson (Ireland), were posted as missing, presumed dead. Their bodies were recovered by the infantry, identited and buried at the closest military cemetery.
