RAF R3527. To No. 1 Training Command on 25
May 1940. To Fleet Aircraft for conversion
to Mk. III, 15 December 1941 to 9 April 1942. Had
1303:50 logged time when it arrived. To
No. 1 Training Command when completed. Served
with No. 5 Service Flying Training School at Brantford, Ontario. Category B crash at Brantford aerodrome at
11:15 on 7 July 1942. Port engine failed
due to fuel starvation on touch down, aircraft swung and struck parked
Anson 6838. To Central Aircraft at
Crumlin, Ontario for repairs from 16 July 1942 to 18 January 1943. To No. 1 Training Command when completed. Back to Central Aircraft on 2 March 1944. Scheduled for conversion to Mk. IV, but these
conversions were all cancelled and aircraft put in storage on 10 April
1944. Pending disposal from 25 April 1944. To No. 1 Air Command on 15 January 1945, still
pending disposal. Stored at No. 6 Repair
Depot, Trenton, where it was reported with 416:35 total time (probably
since conversion to Mk. III). |
