Placed in storage early 1959.
Griffin reports this aircraft was assigned to Crown Assests Disposal
Corporation on 3 February 1959, but returned to active service at Air Force
Headquarters, RCAF Station Rockcliffe, Ontario on 20 March 1959. To No. 11 Training School at Timmins on 26
September 1960. To No. 2 Air Observers
School at RCAF Station Winnipeg on 21 April 1961. Back to AFHQ at Rockcliffe on 7 September
1961, and then at RCAF Station Uplands, Ontario from 31 March 1964. Declared surplus on 21 September 1964, and
stored at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Sold to Nothland Airliner Ltd., which went broke shortly after. Stored at Gimli, Manitoba from 1966. Purchased by Time Travel Air of Ottawa in
2005, currently undergoing restoration.
Reported as registered C-GTTA on Time Travel web site, but not in
Transport Canada public database by August 2005. First flight is scheduled for February
2009. |
