resulting compressor stall and engine failure, and was rescued by Danish
helicopter about 25 minutes later. King would eventually retire as a
Brigadier General. Aircraft was carrying camera pod when lost. |

island off Sardinia, pilot came down in the sea. Was rescued by
Sardinian fishermen, and spent several days in hospital at Cagliari. Seitz
had previously survived an ejection from Sabre 19112 (which see), landing in
the North Sea. |

1967 at Marville, France. Fitted with camera pod when lost. S/L
M.R. MacGregor ejected after engine failure at lift off. Accident
report stated that pilot ejected 4.8 seconds after liftoff, total flight time
was 6.7 seconds. Aircraft impacted 2,393 feet from liftoff point.
MacGregor was uninjured. |
