Flying Club in October 1961, placed back in service. Sold, to US register as N1114V. Used for aerobatic displays by Art Volk
from 1967, often in formation displays with Art Scholl's Chipmunk N13Y. Progressively modified through the 1960s
and 1970s. Sold to Art Scholl in 1977. At this time had 6 cylinder Ranger engine
with variable pitch propeller, clipped wings, smoke system, and extensive
strengthening. Later received Lycoming
6 cylinder horizontally opposed engine, and retractable landing gear. Donated the EAA AirVenture Museum in
Oshkosh, Wisconsin after Art's death by his wife. Delivered to the museum on 12 June 1987,
with 5183.5 airframe hours. Still on
display at this museum in 2005. |
