CC-177 company numbers:
So far, my readers have identified three possible company identification
numbers for these aircraft:
· the names plates carry 6 digit numbers, 077701 to 077705
· Boeing / Mac-Doug uses a fuselage number for all C-17 production, starting with F1 for the first prototype. This is perhaps the most useful number, since the same sequence covers all USAF/RAF/RAAF/CF/etc. aircraft, and structural test articles
· it
appears that these aircraft are also identified with contract numbers,
CA-1 to CA-5
